EU Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award

Since 1988, the European Commision and the Fundació Mies van der Rohe have granted the biennial European Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award. The itinerant exhibition brings two exhibition concepts: CONSTRUCTING EUROPE: 25 YEARS OF ARCHITECTURE (a selection of 18 winners from the past 13 years) and EUROPEAN PRIZE FOR CONTEMPORARY ARCHITECTURE MIES VAN DER ROHE 2013 (40 nominees + the PRIZE winner + SPECIAL MENTION winner).

Complementing the exhibition is the dialogue BREAKING NEW GROUND, which reflects on a quarter-century of European architecture and the role of architecture today. Design factory in cooperation with the Slovak Chamber of Architects are adding one more exhibition bonus in the form of an overview of all Slovak nominations for Mies van der Rohe Prize (nominations chosen from among the winners of CE·ZA·AR Prize for Architecture, of the Slovak Architecture Chamber).
