“European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award 2015” in Szczecin

After Brussels venue, the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award 2015 exhibition continues its itinerancy with the participation in the Westival Architektury Szczecin.

Opening 13 November at 18:30h.
The Exhibition of the Prize is the main event of the Westival Architektury Szczecin that includes presentations, activities, workshops and other accompanying exhibitions with debates about the city and the role of architecture. The Exhibition will be hosted at the MvdR ARENA, a completely new space created for this occasion next to the Philharmonic Hall of Szczecin.

The Szczecin Philharmonic Hall by Barozzi/Veiga (Alberto Veiga and Fabrizio Barozzi) with the collaboration of Studio A4 is the current Prize Winner of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award 2015.

This Exhibition introduces nominated projects to the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award 2015. Visitors will find models, 1 to 1 scale pieces of buildings, construction materials, interviews, graphics, texts, photos and videos from the different architecture studios filmed specifically for the show.

The exhibition is available every day from 14 November to 28 November 2015 from 11.00h to 19.00h at the MvdR ARENA.
After Szczecin the exhibition will travel to many other places in Europe as Wroclaw, Leuven, Vienna and Frankfurt with the aim of spread the knowledge of high quality contemporary architecture in Europe.
