Fondation de l’Architecture et de l’Ingénerie Luxembourg presents the Prize 2013 Exhibition

Next Thursday, December 11 at 18:30 h the Premiere of the Exhibition of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award 2013 will take place at the Foundation de l’Architecture et de l’Ingénierie Luxembourg.

The Exhibition presents models, panels with drawings and photos and audiovisuals of the 2013 edition of the Prize and of the 1988-2011 Winners and Emerging Architect Special Mentions.

The Award is granted every two years. The Harpa – Reykjavik Concert Hall and Conference Centre in Iceland, won the 2013 Prize. Designed by Henning Larsen Architects, Studio Olafur Eliasson and Batteríið Architects, the building has helped to transform and revitalise Reykjavik harbour and bring the city and port district closer together. The Emerging Architect Special Mention went to María Langarita and Víctor Navarro for the Red Bull Music Academy / Nave de Música Matadero in Madrid, Spain.

The exhibition will remain open at the Foundation de l’Architecture et de l’Ingénierie, from December 12 to December 21, 2014; and from January 5 to February 21, 2015.
