Symposium Jeanne d’Arch

Anna Ramos, in representation of Fundació Mies van der Rohe and European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award, gives a lecture at the Symposium Jeanne d’Arch at Deutsches Architekturmuseum DAM in the frame of the exhibition Frau Architekt – Over 100 years of Women in Architecture.

 

To shine a light on women in architecture, to ask what current female architectural positions are and what topics interest women architects today, 11 outstanding women architects have been invited to take part in the Jeanne d’Arch symposium and debate five different aspects of the profession: Materials, Participation, Teaching, Role Models and Exhibitions and Prizes.

Anna Ramos participation is on the Exhibition and Prizes panel to explain the EUMies Award experience and figures and as part of the following discussion on the influence of prizes in architecture, exhibition making for addressing new currents and encouraging discourse on architecture outside the discipline.
