After the premiere in Barcelona, the exhibition of the 2015 edition of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award begins an international travel starting from BOZAR, Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels.
Curated by the Prize Team at the Fundació Mies van der Rohe and conceived by architect Jorge Vidal, the exhibition presents a critical look at Contemporary European Architecture projects. Visitors will find the programme, use and relationship with the environment of the projects; their atmosphere, scale and tectonics; the contextualization and relations between the works; and the creative processes of their authors. This information will be presented with models, 1to1 scale pieces of buildings, construction materials, interviews, graphics, texts, real size photos and videos filmed specifically for the show and from the different architecture studios.
On the 15th of September the exhibition will be opened by the conference “Shaping European Cities. How can policy makers and architects make cities more attractive?” and will be visitable until the 1st of November 2015.
After Brussels the exhibition will travel to many other places in Europe and worldwide with the aim of disseminating the quality of contemporary architecture in Europe.
