YTAA 2016 – European Architecture Schools show their Graduation Projects

The exhibition organised by Fundació Mies van der Rohe presents the 211 Graduation Projects that were nominated for the Young Talent Architecture Award (YTAA) 2016. Schools from all over Europe participated in the Prize showing the projects that they considered best represented their way of teaching and preparing students for the professional world. The Jury made a shortlist of 30 projects from which they chose 9 Finalists and later on the 3 Winners.

Projects are divided between the nominees, shortlisted, finalists and Winners and presented according to the programmes and themes that they have addressed. More information on all the projects can be found through the QRs next to each one which connect to the YTAA Archive.

The Granting Ceremony took place at the Teatro Piccolo Arsenale in the framework of La Biennale di Venezia. The Winners, Finalists and representatives from the Fundació Mies van der Rohe, Creative Europe-European Commission, World Architects as founding partner, and Vectorworks, Jung and USM as sponsors took part in the ceremony of the prize that supported new professionals in the creation of a network with the architects and critics involved in the EU Mies Award.

The exhibition will be presented in Architecture Schools with the aim to discover how architecture studies are being carried forward and to open the debate on how architecture is taught.
