Round table of marble conservation of the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion

The Alpine green marble slabs lining the inner walls of the west and southwest sides of the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion, have been turning their bright green tone to a brownish green.

The debate will take a close look of the causes of this chromatic degradation and propose appropriate solutions to recover the original colours and qualities.
