The New European Bauhaus – an open conversation

Fundació Mies van der Rohe invites you, along with the European Commission, and in the framework of the Architecture Week of Barcelona, to take part in an open conversation on the New European Bauhaus.

With the aim of making it a wide-ranging meeting that can help start defining the co-design of the New European Bauhaus, we will combine our on-site participation in the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion with the virtual environment that will allow us to engage in a dialogue on an international level through live broadcasting via YouTube with simultaneous translation into English, Catalan and Spanish.

The New European Bauhaus is a creative and interdisciplinary initiative that opens a meeting space to design future ways of living and is placed at a crossroad between art, culture, social inclusion, science and technology. The conference will gather the 15 state partners of the New European Bauhaus willing to define good practices, ideas and challenges from a dense, complex and Mediterranean Europe.

The initiative brings the European Green Deal to the places where we live and calls for a collective effort to imagine and build a sustainable, inclusive and beautiful future for the minds and souls of all.

How can we bring reality closer to the dream of a new beautiful/sustainable/together world? What would you suggest to make a new Bauhaus possible?  We want you to take part as well: please send your questions about the NEB to newbauhaus@miesbcn.com and we will forward them to the people in charge of the initiative.
