On the occasion of the thirtieth anniversary of the reconstruction of the Barcelona Pavilion, the Mies van der Rohe Foundation will contribute to the Museums Night for the first time ever. This year, we invite you to discover the Pavilion in a different way: by night!
At 19:00 on Saturday, May 21, we shall open our doors free of charge. From this time until 1:00h you will be able to visit the German Pavilion built for the 1929 Barcelona World Fair. Furthermore:

“Music in the Pavilion gardens”
Concerts featuring chamber and jazz ensembles from the Liceu Higher Conservatoire. Duration: 30 min.

“History of the Pavilion 1929-1986-2016”
Loop projection of images recording the three key moments in the history of the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion: the original construction in 1929, the reconstruction in 1986 and the present day.

The Museums Night,which this year reaches its twelfth edition,is an initiative of the Council of Europe in which over four thousand museums from forty European countries take part.
