After this very different spring in which we have continued to share the culture from home together, we want to be part of your summer too! That is why we suggest that if you are close, you can enjoy the space of the Pavilion and take the opportunity to make stays or visit it as often as you want, to show it to your friends, take some pictures, draw or simply take a good look at it: for just 12€ the annual pass opens the doors of the Pavilion to you for a whole year! You can also take advantage of this first Sunday of August, that like all the first Sundays of the month, is an open day. This time you can experience the sound intervention “It Begins with one word. Choose your own” by Katarzyna Krakowiak to which hundreds of people have contributed more than 400 words of hope and future that compose the polyphony that the speakers project against the walls of the Pavilion .
You can also seize this summer to take a walk, even if it’s not very far: we put the entire archive of the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award at your disposal with the free App EUMiesAward so you are able to discover the best works of architecture that the Prize has highlighted over the years and you may find out that some are very close to you and that you can go visit and share them on social media.
And if what you want is to disconnect from the digital world and immerse yourself in a book as the classic image of summer dictates, you can pick and choose both in the Pavilion bookstore or from home on Shopmies from a careful selection of architecture books that we will deliver wherever you are.
We wish you enjoy, in whatever format, a very nice summer!
