We are pleased to present the programme for this summer and fall, where face-to-face events and international connections regain prominence. With our proposals for exhibitions and events we invite the world to Barcelona to delve into the reflection and debate on contemporary architecture and urbanism, and from Barcelona we bring them to the world:
We participate in the Venice Biennale of Architecture with the exhibition ‘Young Talent Architecture Award 2020. Educating together’, debates and the YTAA awards ceremony. An exhibition that can be visited in summer at Tongji University (Shanghai) and in autumn at POLIS University (as part of Tirana Design Week 2021), at ETSAV-UPC (Sant Cugat del Vallès), at Czech Technical University (Prague) and the Tokyo University of Science (Tokyo). You can check out the complete itinerance on ytaaward.com.
In autumn, the exhibition “Large-Scale Transformation, a New Sustainability Challenge. Kleiburg in Amsterdam, Grand Parc in Bordeaux ” will be inaugurated at the Biennale d’architecture et d’urbanisme in Caen, France after being in the Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine in Paris.
And the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion hosts the XV Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism (BEAU) throughout the summer, and incorporates it into the recovered Pantalla Pavelló summer film series.
These coming months bring other activities to the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion, with artistic interventions such as ‘Never Demolish’ by Ilka and Andreas Ruby, the concerts of the Music Pavilion and participation in city events such as the Loop Barcelona or the International Biennial of Landscape of Barcelona.
In addition, the publication “No fear of glass” will be presented, which includes the intervention of the same name by Sabine Marcelis and joins the collection of catalogs of artistic interventions in the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion.
