Anna Ramos, director of Fundació Mies van der Rohe, interviews Jürgen Mayer and moderatres a round table in the first edition of SPAM- Settimana del Progetto di Architettura nel Mondo, an annual festival to spread a renewed culture of the project and to bring the attention on the problems and issues that regulate the urban, social and economic transformations of great contemporary metropolises. A benchmark for the development of architectural ideas and thoughts on the city and on the future possible through confrontation with some of the most important protagonists of the international cultural scene.
Jürgen Mayer works have been recognised by the European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture – Mies van der Rohe Award in numerous occasions: Sonnenhof, Co-operative Housing in Jena, Court of Justice in Hasselt, ADA1 in Hamburg and Dupli Casa in Ludwigsburg have been nominated works at the Prize and Scharnhauser Park Town Hall in Ostfildern brought him the Emerging Architect Special Mention on 2003. Ten years later, on the EU Mies Award 2013, Metropol Parasol in Seville, was selected as a finalist.
