The Grand Budapest Hotel – “Per amor a les arts” film series in la Filmoteca

As a part of the film series “Per amor a les arts” by La Filmoteca de Catalunya, which uses cinema as a tool for dialogue with other artistic disciplines such as design, architecture, opera, literature, dance, painting music or theatre, the Fundació Mies van der Rohe presents “The Grand Budapest Hotel” a film by Wes Anderson inspired by Stefan Zweig’s literary universe. A visually seductive, artificial and comic story, as usual in Wes Anderson’s work, set in Europe between wars. A writer who encounters the owner of an aging high-class hotel, tells him of his early years serving as a lobby boy in the hotel’s glorious years under an exceptional concierge.
