The Fundació Mies van der Rohe hosts a conversation about the poetics of reason in the Pavilion as a presentation in Barcelona of the fifth edition of the Triennal of architecture in Lisbon. This edition, under the name of “The poetics of reason”, will point to the reflection that the fact that architecture is based on reason and rationality is key to make it understandable, and therefore, shared by everyone.
On Monday, June 3 at eight in the evening, the curatorial team of the Triennal in Lisbon along with other expert voices will open a debate and a round of questions and answers about the subjective and non-scientific aspects of architecture in relation to a rationality that can be shared and understood by any person without the need for specific knowledge.
The debate will be presented and moderated by Ethel Baraona Pohl and César Reyes, founders of Barcelona dpr, and will have the participation of:
José Mateus, president of the Triennial of Architecture of Lisbon
Éric Lapierre, curator of the 2019 Lisbon Triennal Architecture
Anna and Eugeni Bach, architects who are authors of an artistic intervention at the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion and members of the jury of the Universities Award of the Triennal of Architecture of Lisbon 2019
Anna Ramos, director of the Mies van der Rohe Foundation and member of the jury of the Début Award of the Triennale of Lisbon 2019;
Following this event there will be the screening of the Bauhaus Spirit film, in the framework of the Pavilion Screen, for which it is necessary to register aside. The registration for the presentation of the triennal in Lisbon does not include access to the subsequent projection.
