The Fundació Mies van der Rohe celebrates La Mercè as every year with an open day at the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion.
We want to participate in this festive day by inviting you to enjoy this unique space that was designed in 1929 and laid the foundations of modern architecture. Come, take a walk, be in it, look and discover what makes it so special.
You will see that you feel well in it, that it is beautiful, that it welcomes you. In these moments, in which we have rediscovered the value of open spaces, natural light and the need to feel protected in the spaces we inhabit, it continues to fascinate the contemporaneity of the way Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich incorporated them into the Barcelona Pavilion. The circumstances of the moment underline how the pioneering responses that materialize this pavilion, initially thought to receive the visitors of an event of almost a century ago, prove again valid and appropriate in the present moment.
Come and share your view and your reflections!
Free admission without prior reservation. Limited capacity. The use of a mask is mandatory.
