The lecture will critically examine the relation between architectural concept/the idea, the anticipated construction, the design development, and the actual construction of KAAN projects.
Kees Kaan is an architect and founding director of KAAN Architecten (Rotterdam); beforehand he co-founded Claus en Kaan Architecten (1987-2013). Kaan is full professor of the Chair of Complex Projects at the TU Delft (Faculty of Architecture). His research focuses on large-scale projects characterizing rapid global urbanization.
