Preceding the jury meeting of the fourth edition of the Living Places – Simon Architecture Prize, curated by the Fundació Mies van der Rohe, “Building Emotions by filming architecture” will take place at La Casa de la Luz, Simon’s new space in Madrid, designed to inspire and feel how light decorates spaces and a meeting point for all creative and entrepreneurial communities that want to exchange ideas and promote co-creation projects with light.
The meeting, which will serve to celebrate the success of participation in this fourth edition, will take the form of a conversation between Marcin Szczelina –architecture critic and curator, member of the jury of Living Places 2022, and editor of Architecture Snob– and Amanda Sans Pantling –filmmaker, narrator and producer, director of the Emmy-nominated Barcelona chapter of the HOME series (Apple TV)–, moderated by Ivan Blasi –director of awards and programs at the Fundació Mies van der Rohe.
Questions will be raised and discussed such as: How does communication affect our perception of architecture? What do video and film contribute to the communication of architecture?
You can book your ticket here or follow the event on youtube (from 7.30 pm).
