Debate | The Clash of Architectures at the 1929 Exhibition

In the context of Viu Montjuïc, the Park of Culture, we host many activities and open doors in the pavilion Mies van der Rohe between on October 7 & 8.

On Sunday 8th October we’ll also be joining other entities as Casa de la Premsa, where Anna Ramos, director of the Fundació Mies van der Rohe, at the “Clash of architectures at the 1929 Exhibition” will have a debate at 12pm to contrast with Lluís Domènech Girbau the very different visions of the architect Pere Domènech i Roura, author of the Casa de la Premsa, the Palau Nacional and the Olympic Stadium with those of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich.

The activity will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a visit to the Press House and learn about the rehabilitation plans with the help of an exhibition that has been prepared for the purpose with the plans of the draft and some photographs and renders. Then, around 12:00, the talk will begin with the two guests and the participation of the public.
