We would like to invite you to the first concert in which the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion becomes the stage for a rock band. The next concert in the Music Pavilion series, the result of a collaboration with the Fundación Goethe, takes on a new dimension with the band Cell of Hell, consisting of 3 electric cellos and drums.
In the concert Hit the Strings, adding decibels and rock attitude to the precision of their classical formation, Cell of Hell performs Nirvana, Metallica, Michael Jackson, Mötley Crue, Megadeth, Apocalyptica and Braindead with their own arrangements as well as their own pieces in an intense and dedicated staging.
The cellists are Georg Dettweiler from Germany, Ekachai Maskulrat from Thailand and Joonas Pitkaenen from Finland. The drummer is Alex Waeber from Switzerland. Musicians from very diverse backgrounds and styles manage to converge bows and drumsticks in a challenging point between rock and classical music.
Come to the Carles Buïgas square to let yourself be carried away by the energy of heavy metal with classical instruments and with the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion as stage.
