The film tells the story of how a young professor decides to research the work of designer and architect Lilly Reich through a journey to the main places where Reich had a significant presence – from her training period and first projects to her stage of collaboration with Mies van der Rohe and the loneliness of her final years – in order to compare it with the recognition she received in the media. Although critics silenced much of her legacy, recent studies reveal Reich’s important contributions to architecture and design.
Afterwards, there will be a round table with Avelina Prat (director of the documentary), Débora Domingo (architect and co‑author of the documentary) and Carmel Espegel (expert on Reich’s work).
