Result of the collaboration between the Mies van der Rohe Foundation and El Graner, center for the creation of dance and live arts, Manuel Rodríguez presents 41°22′14″N 2°09′00″E, an intervention from the language of the dance that dialogues with Oscar Abraham Pabón’s work Psicoarquitectura, a large ceramic wall arranged on the water that for three weeks will transform the space of the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion.
This wall becomes the starting point of the dance proposed by Manuel Rodríguez, a reflection on one’s own identity, resistance and the emotions that have conditioned it at different moments in life. A wall that protests and shows itself, but also hides and guards.
The choreography surrounding the work Psychoarchitecture investigates the effect and echo produced by the body in collision with elements such as water, brick or marble, to generate a drift from the work of Oscar Abraham Pabón and inhabit the Pavilion from its transformative character and its memory.
41°22′14″N 2°09′00″E is part of the stable Music and Dance Pavilion program of the Mies van der Rohe Foundation that invites you to enjoy music and dance in this space that makes them special.
