Living Places – Simon Architecture Prize 2024

To kick off the 5th edition of the Simon – Living Places Architecture Prize, on Wednesday, May 29, will be presented the event “Space narratives”. A conversation between RA! Architects, recognized for the best audiovisual narrative of the 2022 edition of the award, and Amanda Sans, member of the jury of this 5th edition. Sans is a filmmaker and screenwriter, director of the Barcelona chapter of the series HOME (Apple TV), winner of the Daytime Emmy Award.

The Simon – Living Places award is distinguished by its approach, centered on the people who inhabit the architecture. Lived architectures that become places of higher quality for people in their daily lives, to work, to learn, to play… scenarios of space narratives.

Those works completed between January 1, 2022 and December 31, 2023 and built in Europe, Mexico and Brazil may be submitted. Participation is completely free and the teams that author the winning works will receive a prize of €10,000.

Video, as a tool to bring architecture closer to the general public and as the most appropriate means to convey the atmosphere of the place, is the main document. Therefore, among all the audiovisual pieces presented, the one that captures the best audiovisual narrative will also be selected.
