Exhibition XV Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism "España vacía, España llena. Reconciliation strategies" - Fundació Mies van der Rohe

Exhibition XV Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism “España vacía, España llena. Reconciliation strategies”

The first exhibition of the XV Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism (BEAU) is presented at the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion.

Shot / Reverse Shot: Flâneur 360: A photographer (turned into flâneur) and a mobile phone. Without any pretensions to technical virtuosity, but with the firm desire to leave a testimony to the beauty of the twenty prize-winning works of the XV BEAU. Jordi Bernadó produces a recording that is both documentary and poetic of their scenarios. The exhibition is completed inside the Pavilion through videos made by the artist himself, one for each award-winning work, which offer us a panoramic view of the context of each one and allow us to close the questions that the photographs on the outside have raised.

We invite you to visit the exhibition that can be enjoyed until 16 September and in parallel, from 2 July to 10 October, at the Patio Herreriano Museum in Valladolid. Two emblematic sites with a common objective: to connect architecture, urban planning and citizenship under the slogan: “España vacía, España llena. Strategies for conciliation”.

With the opening presentation by the curators Óscar Miguel Ares, Anna Bach and Eugeni Bach and the awarding of the “Panorama de Obras” awards at the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion on Monday 28 June, this initiative organised by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda through the Directorate General of Urban Agenda and Architecture and in collaboration with the Higher Council of the Spanish Architects’ Associations (CSCAE) and the Arquia Foundation begins.
