Calendar by Atom Egoyan | Per Amor a les Arts Film Series

The Fundació Mies van der Rohe proposes two films for the cycle “Per Amor a les Arts” 23-24 with the aim of disseminating architecture to new audiences through cinema. The sessions will be presented by Olímpia Solà Inaraja, architecture divulger in the “Coses modernes” podcast, with the aim of encouraging dialogue between architecture and cinema as a universal language.

Calendar by Atom Egoyan (1993, 74′) is the first of the proposals: A filmed diary, a letter, a series of amorous encounters and a calendar of photographs of historic churches in Armenia are the few resources that the filmmaker uses to understand how images shape national and personal identities.
