Presentation of the first call for the Lilly Reich research grant for equality in architecture promoted by the Fundació Mies van der Rohe. In recognition of Lilly Reich, co-author of the German Pavilion in Barcelona in 1929 together with Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, the scholarship will support the study, dissemination and visibility of contributions in the field of architecture that have been unduly relegated or neglected for discriminatory reasons.
The presentation will end with the interpretation of the piece for cello “for Mies” by Katrina Burton. Composition inspired by the work of Mies van der Rohe and premiered in 2015, at the Carr Chapel in Chicago.
